Tax strikes are, to some, the holy grail of activism. When a corporation infringes on your rights, you call a boycott, and starve the company until it acquiesces. When a government does the same, the bravest of its citizens organize tax strikes and refuse to pay. Unlike boycotting a corporation, however, boycotting a government can get you thrown in a cage rather quickly.
