The Solutions Institute is thrilled to announce that Tony Demott, president of Michigan Campaign for Liberty, has signed on as a panelist for ActCon II. Tony Demott is fresh off a campaign that destroyed Michigan’s Proposition 1, which would have mandated a two billion dollar state sales tax to fund road improvements. Voters got Tony’s message loud and clear and headed to the polls, where 85% voted against the measure in the widest margin in state history.
Joseph Fioramonti, a professional master of messaging and the man behind SI’s branding, among many other notable accomplishments, joins the slate along with Mr. DeMott.
With eleven stellar speakers now on board, Act Con II is guaranteed to educate, inspire, and motivate our lucky audience. Our panelists are winners in every sense, sure to help activists enhance their communications, increase their reach, and make their messaging matter.
Tony DeMott comes to Act Con II straight from a major victory, the defeat of Michigan’s Proposition 1, on May 5. Proposition 1 failed by the largest margin in Michigan history.
Tony got his start as an election integrity activist and a door-knocker for Ron Paul. From there he started working with Campaign for Liberty where he was privileged to receive a world class education in how to win from some of the best in the country. Locally, he has been involved in a number of fights helping to stop over $90,000,000 in new taxation. On a state level he has led on fights against ObamaCare, Red Light Cameras, a $2,000,000,000 road tax increase, a $1,000,000,000 government bridge boondoggle, National Popular Vote, warrantless spying, fusion centers, and corporate welfare. He was one of the original co-conspirators in turning Michigan into a Right to Work state and currently is involved in eliminating public funding of private political parties (primaries), making Michigan a part time legislature, and ending the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. Tony has trained and mentored hundreds of activists through the country and currently is President of Michigan Campaign for Liberty and an instructor for Foundation of Applied Conservative Leadership.
Joseph Fioramonti is the talent behind the Solutions Institutes’s phenomenal success since our launch just over three months ago. Joseph is a graphic design professor at The University of Baltimore in Baltimore, MD, and the owner and creative director for brand development studio Dark Square Design. He has worked with local, national, and international companies and organizations to develop their brand and web strategies. At SI, he serves as creative director, handling brand development, graphic design, web design and messaging strategies.
